BookmarkBridge User Manual |
|
BookmarkBridge uses two files to control operation. These files are briefly described below. For anyone familiar with XML, they should be fairly self-explanatory.
BookmarkBridge stores the bookmark tree it reads from the browsers in an XBEL (XML Bookmark Exchange Language). This is an XML file designed to exchange bookmarks. It was developed as part of the Python project. Its format is described at pyxml.sourceforge.net/topics/xbel/docs/html/xbel.html. BookmarkBridge stores extra information on each bookmark and folder.
BookmarkBridge stores its list of configured browsers, sources, and destinations in an XML file called bridgeconf.xml.
